ISU to host local employers at job, internship fair

POCATELLO — The Idaho State University Career Center will host a job and internship fair on Aug. 31.

Employers who attend will be able to interact with students of all years and majors, with 300 to 400 students normally attending, according to ISU Job Location and Development Coordinator Jared Anderson.

“There are no fields that are a focus for this fair,” Anderson said in an email to EastIdahoNews.com. “However, if you register (your company) and let me know what majors you are targeting, we can target those majors in our marketing.”

Employers interested in attending the job fair must first register on Handshake — new Handshake accounts can be created here.

Registration costs $50 and includes a table at the event and a parking pass. All registration must be completed by Aug. 25.

“Most career fairs have a much higher registration fee, but we are trying to keep this one low so we can get more local participation,” Anderson said.
