Mason Cameron, age 15, son of Eric and Heather Cameron, of Rexburg, Idaho, earned the award of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America on July 5, 2016. For his Eagle Project he raised money, with major contributions from Ray’s Chevron, and built new swing sets for the Madison Middle School. He completed the project with the help of many Scouts and close friends.

Mason is a member of both Team and Crew 306. He is involved in the Madison Marching Band and plays the trumpet. Mason has attended Cedar Badge, a national youth leadership training, for three years and plans on staffing there next year. Mason loves the outdoors and wants to teach others and his future family the many skills he has learned from the Scouting program. He also doesn’t want to stop with just getting his Eagle. He wants to continue in the Venturing Program and eventually get his Summit Award. The Court of Honor will be held on September 6, 2016 at the Rexburg East LDS Stake Center.
