Obituary
Christy Marie Walters
August 14th, 1968 - January 29th, 2024
Christy Walters, 55, of Blackfoot, ID, passed away unexpectedly on January 29, 2024.
Christy was born on August 14,1968 to Jim and Delores Eiselein in Twin Falls. After Christy graduated from Hansen High School in 1986, she went on to marry and become a mother to her three treasured children; Misty, Ryan, and Kacie. In 1995, Christy chose to continue her education and obtained her Associates degree in Accounting from the College of Southern Idaho in 1998.
Christy was divorced in 1994 and soon after met her soulmate and the love of her life, Dee Walters. They spent many happy years together – camping, farming, raising kids, and chasing cows. One of their favorite things to do together was travel to the Oregon coast. Christy especially loved going deep sea fishing and spending time on the ocean.
Christy began working for Herrett’s Stocks in 1999 and spent 16 years working alongside her mother Delores creating custom gun stocks. She created beautiful work and was proud of every piece she made. In recent years, she worked for Cal Ranch in Blackfoot, where she enjoyed both her job and her team. Christy also raised cattle in her spare time – she loved all her cows and found a lot of joy in them.
When her children were young, Christy was an active volunteer in both 4-H and her children’s sports teams. She enjoyed the chaos of fair time and watching her kids develop new skills and relationships. She was always in the audience for every school performance, game, or graduation. Christy was also loved by her children’s friends, some of which still refer to her as “mom” to this day. She was incredibly proud of all her children and loved them deeply.
In 2005, Christy was thrilled to become a grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and always said that the only thing better than being a mother, was being a grandmother. At the time of her passing, Christy had 12 grandchildren – all of whom she was very proud of. Her absolute favorite thing to do was spend her time surrounded by the chaos that was her children and grandchildren.
Christy was predeceased by her mother Delores, her father Jim, her grandmother Joyce, and her grandfather Melvin. She is survived by her spouse Dee Walters; aunts Brenda (Chris) Cothary, Carolyne Jennings; uncle Larry Jennings; sisters Tracy (Jason) Miller, Lyssa (Scott) Thomas; brother Gregory (Tanya) Eiselein; children Misty (Brandon) Tucker, Crystle (Larry) Lynch, Ryan Tucker, Kacie Tucker; and grandchildren Logan, Roland, Erica, Eryona, Emilya, Sydney, Andrew, Kaleb, Jacob, Octavia, Isabella, and Jackson.
