David Wadsworth
January 18th, 1954 - August 9th, 2023
David Coey Wadsworth, 69, of Ammon, passed away August 9, 2023, at Idaho Falls Community Hospital.
David was born January 18, 1954, in Blackfoot, Idaho, to Ervan Wadsworth and Florence Pearl Brown Wadsworth. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Bonneville High School.
He married the love of his life, Sylvia Juanita Sandoval on December 4, 1973, in Ammon, Idaho. David and Sylvia made their home in Ammon, Idaho. David worked for Northwest Steel, The City of Ammon as the Public Works Director and retired from Electrical Equipment.
David enjoyed hunting, camping, riding dirt bikes, snowmobiling and fixing anything he could. He was a family man and spending time with his family was his favorite.
David is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Sylvia Wadsworth of Ammon, ID; daughter, Josey (Christian) McGuire of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Robert Wadsworth of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Johnny (Henrietta) Wadsworth of Yuma, AZ; brother, Allen (Nancy) Wadsworth of Rigby, ID; sister, Joanne (Bret) Hincks of Palisades, ID; sister, Joyce (Dave) Conner of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Barbara (Glen) Cropper of Rigby, ID; six grandchildren, Zarron (Samantha) McGuire, Bryson McGuire, Konner (Brianna) McGuire, Graycee McGuire, Alexis Wadsworth and Garrett (Adriana) Wadsworth; and five great grandchildren, Chloe, Mayla, Rydan, Elsie and Haizlee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ervan Wadsworth and Florence Pearl Wadsworth; brother, Kay Wadsworth; and brothers-in-law, Rick Sandoval and Tom Sandoval.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends from 1-1:45 p.m. prior. Burial will be in Ammon Cemetery.
