Kim Archie Ker

January 13th, 1956 - January 18th, 2023









Kim Archie Ker, 67, of Lone Pine, Idaho, passed away on January 18, 2023, at home. He was under the care of Hands of Hope Home Health and Hospice and his loving family.

Kim was born January 13, 1956, in Rigby, Idaho, to Archie Ker and Lucille Hayes Ker. Kim was the youngest of four siblings. He may have been picked on but he was always the baby brother that was looked after and taken care of throughout his life.

He married Vickie Lynn Wardle on April 23, 1983, in Elko, Nevada. Kim retired from the Idaho Department of Transportation in the spring of 2020. Kim enjoyed soaking up the sun, hunting, fishing, being the Birch Creek Valley tour guide and spending time with his family and many friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Megan (Kenny) Clapp of Blackfoot, ID; brother, Don (Tammy) Ker of St. Anthony, ID; sister, Mindy (Mike) Tanaka of Shelley, ID; nephew, Kelly (Sarah) Tanaka of Idaho Falls, ID; granddaughters, Paige Balster, and Kenedie Balster; his Lone Pine brother, Gary Marshall-Tanaker; along with many nieces and nephews.

He is and always will be loved by many.

A gathering will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, January 23, 2023, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road.
