Linda Irene Lovejoy

Linda Irene Lovejoy, 80, of Rexburg, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2023, in Rexburg, Idaho, surrounded by loved ones.

Linda was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, on December 27, 1943, and is the oldest child of Gale T. and Betty Ellsworth Storer.

She married Ralph Kent Lovejoy in 1963, and together they were married for 60 years; had 9 children; 35 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Linda’s greatest achievement was her family. She taught her children to love God, work hard, never give up, and serve others. She had a wonderful sense of humor and made lifelong friends wherever she went. Linda saw the good in everyone, found joy in simple things, and was proud to be an American. Along with spoiling her grandchildren, she enjoyed being with friends, diet coke, garage sales, and football. Linda served others quietly, relentlessly making everyone feel loved and welcome, she truly was the salt of the earth.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph Kent Lovejoy; children, Christian (Shauna), James (Rachel), Noelle (John), Susanah (Steve), Andrew (Danielle), Mathew (Laurel), Peter (Kim), Megan (Justin), and Samuel (Hannah); 35 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at the Summerfield 1st Ward, 2332 West 2000 South in Rexburg, ID, with Bishop Jake Romney officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10-10:45 a.m. prior at the church. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
