Marian Williams
February 22nd, 1935 - June 13th, 2025
Marian Roh Williams, our beloved mom and grams of Rigby passed away at age 90 at Sage Grove Assisted Living. She was under the care of Aspen Home Health.
She was born Feb. 22, 1935, in Hardin, Mt. to Conrad and Amelia (Frickle) Roh, the baby of 6 children. She grew up in Idaho Falls, and surrounding areas. She graduated from Idaho Falls High School. She worked many years at Mountain Bell and for an attorney’s office. She also managed the Jefferson Hills Café and Bar, where she was known as an exceptional cook. She loved to share her famous cream puffs and made the best pies and tacos. She was a friend to so many and had a quick sense of humor and a sassiness up until her passing.
She was an outstanding golfer and took club championship 8 years in a row. She was a member of the Jefferson Hills Golf Association and a member of the Ladies VFW auxiliary.
She married Gary Dave Williams on May 1st, 1957, at the home of Gary’s parents in Rigby.
She and Gary later welcomed twin daughters, Julie Ann and Jana Jo after learning only 2 weeks earlier they were expecting twins.
They loved to travel, spending every Christmas vacation in Buena Park with her brother Ed Roh and family and taking the girls to Disneyland. After Ed moved to Lake Havasu, they would spend lots of Thanksgivings there.
They spent many summers at Ponds Lodge where they had a summer home and made many fun memories. She started skiing in her 40’s and loved to ski with her sisters and their families.
She loved all sports and was a tom boy growing up. She loved to follow her brother Coach Les Roh to all the basketball games and tournaments.
She loved to shop and loved finding her treasures at thrift stores. Jewelry and antiques were her specialties.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Mary is survived by her twin daughters, Julie (Kirk) Hart of Idaho Falls and Jana (Dan) Windmiller of Rigby, 5 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, her parents, brothers, Ed (Anna)Roh and Les (Sharon) Roh and John Roh. Sisters, Bertha (Roy) Adolfson and Martha (Clarence) Johnson.
Funeral Service will be held at Eckersell Funeral Home on Thursday, June 19th at 11:00 am, with a viewing from 9:30 to 10:45.
Interment will be at the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
