Mark P. Roberts

May 5th, 1941 - July 2nd, 2021









Mark P. Roberts, 80, passed away Friday, July 2, 2021 at his home in Arco, Idaho.

He was born May 5, 1941 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Ayleen Parish and Kenneth Roberts. Mark attended schools in the Jerome County area where he was raised. Following high school graduation Mark enlisted into the United States Army, serving his country for three years as a medic.

Mark worked for the INL for thirty years, first in security and later as a chemist. He was active in the Masonic Lodge and served on the local water board. He also loved watching deer in his pasture. Mark had a green thumb and grew a terrific garden and as many flowers as possible. He loved his friends and enjoyed his time with John & Linda Morgan, Beve Lee Michaels, Taz Forbes, and his lodge brothers. He enjoyed expressing his political opinions on the manure spreader at the entrance to his property.

Surviving are his children, Dawn (Gary) Jensen, Shawn (Mary) Roberts and Chanelle (Dave) Foltz; his sister, Valdi Parish; his extended family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-children, step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and Cheri’s little black cat. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and brothers.

As per Dad’s request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those desiring to make a donation in Mark’s name will do so to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 1275 E. Fairfax Road, Salt Lake City, Utah 84103 or to the Arco Community Food Bank, P.O. Box 672, Arco, Idaho 83213. Cremation services were under the direction of the Anderson Family Funeral Home in Arco.
