Neil Frank Jeffs

Neil Frank Jeffs, 88, of Rigby, Idaho, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, at the Idaho Falls Care Center. Neil was born in Parker, Idaho on June 11, 1937, the son of Leonard George Jeffs and Grace LaFrinire Jeffs.

After high school, Neil worked as an aircraft mechanic in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he moved to Rigby, Idaho working for Modern Plumbing. On November 28, 1975, Neil married Ava Claudine Waters in Rigby, Idaho. She preceded him in death in May of 2007.

Neil had a few things he loved. One would be his cat “Abby’s” and to plant and raise a garden. He enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing, which was mostly done in the Kilgore, Idaho, area.

Neil is survived by his children: Eva June Shimp of Phoenix, Arizona, Don Jacobson, Vernon L Jeffs of Rigby, Idaho and Larry M Jeffs of Sacramento, California; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded by his wife, Claudia Jeffs, daughter, Christy Leone Torres, brothers, Leo Jeffs and Roy Jeffs.

Military rites will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 3:00 pm in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery (4023 E 300 N, Rigby, Idaho).
