Paul Merrill Valentine

Paul Merrill Valentine, 54, of Pocatello, Idaho, returned to his Heavenly Home October 18, 2025. He was a beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend.

Paul was born April 23, 1971, to Merrill “J” Valentine and Judy Louise Ellis (Jentzsch) near Rexburg, Idaho. He graduated from Snake River High School.

An avid entrepreneur, Paul ran a successful trucking business with his wife for many years. He was able to see much of the country and meet many people during his hauls. While he lived in Idaho most of his life, he and Tina spent a number of years in Texas helping his brother’s widow raise nine children. This sacrifice and influence has left an indelible mark on the children that they are now carrying on into adulthood.

Paul is reunited with is brother, Todd (Cindy Allen), who passed in 2006. He is survived by his wife Tina; parents Merrill and Judy (Harley Jentzsch); brothers Shane (Laurie Buckland), Troy (Jamie Hixenbaugh), and Dan (Jennifer Lund); sisters Tami (Lee Sappington) and Debi (Rob Tonks); and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 25, at Eckersell Funeral Home, 101 W. Main Street, Rigby. You can visit the family starting at 9:30 at the same location.
