Shirley was born Dec. 12, 1937nin Limestone Township, Ill. To Alvin Sharp and Ruth Hollis Sharp. She was the eldest of 10 children. She and her family lived in many different places due to her father working in construction. She graduated from high school in Oregon and stayed in Portland to work. She met the love of her life, Carl at a dance in Portland. He was stationed with the Navy in Washington at the time. They were married on Feb. 22, 1957, and had been married for 62 years when Carl passed. Together they had two children, Wendy Humpherys(Randy) and David Campau(Annette). She is survived by her children, six grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 3 sisters.

Carl and Shirley were L.D.S. and served many positions with their Church. They both found joy in serving. She worked as a nurse for the majority of her adult life. She loved working in pediatrics and worked for the Pocatello Childrens Clinic from the time of its opening until her retirement.

Shirley passed away on July 10, 2023, at home with her family at her side. She lives on in our hearts. She is at home with her loving husband Carl, and her Savior. We find peace with that. In lieu of flowers, Shirley would love donations to be made to the Ronald McDonald House charity in her honor and in memory of her great-grandaughter, Laykin who died in infancy.
