This story is brought to you by Idaho Fertility Center. Having infertility treatment close to home can sometimes make all the difference. Idaho Fertility Center provides comprehensive reproductive care with the success rates well above the national average.

Now that it’s warmer, more people are grabbing their running shoes and lacing up to participate in the closest races.

And what better way to get into shape then by running for a good cause? We’ve compiled a handful of events where you can do just that.

Paces for Payton (Saturday, April 28th)

This race started in 2014 to honor an Idaho Falls family whose daughter needed a heart transplant after she was diagnosed with heart failure. Payton died in August 2015 from complications associated with heart transplant rejection. Paces for Payton helps families who have a child who has undergone an organ transplant. The race’s mission is also to help raise awareness of organ donation registration. The race will take place at Snake River Landing in Idaho Falls. Footsteps for Fertility Foundation Fun Run (Saturday, May 5)

Who doesn’t like to get into shape, have fun while doing it, and run to help one’s self or a loved one? Footsteps for Fertility is a nonprofit group that is hosting a Fun Run at Russell A. Freeman Memorial Park in Idaho Falls. The 5K run helps raise awareness for infertility and gives couples a chance to win a grant to help pay for fertility treatments they may need. Each race registrant will receive one complimentary ticket with their event registration. The ticket holder or someone they know who needs fertility treatments will be entered into a chance to win a Footsteps Grant. The more team members you get for yourself, the better chances you have at winning the grant. For more details and to register for the event, check out www.footstepsforfertility.org.

Mom & Me 5K Fun Run/Walk (Sunday, May 13)

Grab your mom or a good friend this Mother’s Day and head to the Portneuf Wellness Complex in Pocatello to participate in an awesome 5K. Online registration is available until the morning of the event. The annual event (this year is the 11th year) was created to start a healthy tradition for friends and family on Mother’s Day. Participants will receive a t-shirt, refreshments, raffle prizes and a flower. This event is also hosting a diaper drive to help the Idaho Diaper Bank that helps low-income families of southeast Idaho. You can bring diapers or donate to the cause. Check out https://www.siphidaho.org/mom_n_me.php for more details.
