Preston, Declo, Rockland top first boys basketball polls of new year

EASTERN IDAHO — Preston remains the only boys basketball team to receive all of its division’s first-place votes in the first media polls of 2025.

Owyhee and Madison are deadlocked at the top of the 6A poll, despite the former receiving six of eight first-place vote. Declo continues its perfect season to hold strong at the top of the 3A Division, and Rockland gave some ground to Dietrich in 1A while keeping its No. 1 spot.

Overall, little has changed at the top of the newest media polls, which were released Thursday afternoon. Here are the complete rankings.
