EASTERN IDAHO — The Madison Bobcats added on to their conference title with the selection of All-Conference performers.

Thirteen Bobcats were named 6A District 4-5-6 All-Conference performers — counting those who filled multiple positions for each position. The regular season conference champion Highland Rams were second in selections, with 10.

Highland finished the regular season with the best in-conference record (10-2, 19-11 overall), but lost to Madison in the District Tournament championship. The Bobcats (9-3, 19-11) were then eliminated in the super-regional round.

Cannon Eddie, a three-year starting catcher for the Rams, was named the Conference Player of the Year. Eddie led Highland in average (.456), on-base percentage (.588), slugging percentage (.911), hits (41), doubles (13), triples (5), home runs (6) and walks (25). He was second on the team in runs scores (29) and RBIs (28) to Mason Payne (30 runs and 31 RBIs). Payne joins Eddie as an All-Conference First-Teamer.

Rigby High School’s Kace Stapleton has been named the conference Pitcher of the Year, finishing the season with a 4-1 record. His 2.38 ERA and 40 strikeouts were both among the league’s best.
