GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — The Idaho Falls Chukars made it two in a row, Tuesday evening, with a one-sided win at the Grand Junction Jackalopes.

The Idaho Falls offense erupted yet again, scoring double-digit runs in their fourth consecutive game, while starter Gary Grosjean gave his bullpen some needed rest in leading his club to an 18-1 victory.

Grosjean (W, 3-0) went 7 strong, holding the Jackalopes to five hits and one run. He struck out four and did not issue a walk. The right-hander trimmed his ERA down to 4.50, having allowed nine earned runs in 18 innings across his three starts.

Offensively, the Chukars (10-3) saw contributions from throughout the lineup — with eight of nine players to get an at-bat recording at least one hit.

Tyler Wyatt paced the potent attack with a game-high four hits. Wyatt and Spencer Rich knocked in four runs apiece, as Garret Ostrander’s five runs scored were a high for the evening.

Wyatt and Rich both homered.

Zach Zaborowski (L, 1-2) lasted 5 innings for the Jackalopes (3-10), surrendering five runs.

The same two teams will renew the battle Wednesday, with first pitch set for 6:35 p.m.
