EASTERN IDAHO — Fall sports have reached the playoffs, with several local schools in the hunt for state championships.
First up is the soccer state tournament, which begins Thursday. Marsh Valley, Pocatello and Skyline each have two shots at the banner — with both their boys and girls teams qualifying for the tourney. Sugar-Salem, American Falls, Hillcrest, Highland, Rigby, Teton, Blackfoot and Thunder Ridge also have teams in the hunt.
Volleyball district tournaments are underway, while football playoffs start next week. The cross-country state meet will be next week as well.
Here are some of our favorite pictures from this week’s sports action, and the celebrations that came of that action.
