EASTERN IDAHO – Friday’s softball action from around the area included a wild finish between 5A District 6 foes Bonneville and Blackfoot, and another solid win by Highland.

Kimberly 15, Sugar-Salem 3

Kimberly put the game away with 11 runs in the third inning.

Kinsley Shawcroft and Seneca Bitter each had doubles for the Diggers.

Declo 5, Sugar-Salem 4

Declo tied the game in the bottom of the fifth and won it with a run in the sixth.

Lyvia Pocock finished finished 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs for the Diggers (5-5).

Kimberly 16, South Fremont 6

Kimberly finished with 17 hits in four innings and put the game away with nine runs in the third.

Charly Stoddard, Leah Lehmann, Marley Miller and Sailee Kerbs all had doubles for the Cougars.

Miller finished with two RBIs.

North Fremont 8, McCall-Donnelly 4

Oakley Hathaway finished 2 for 4 with two RBIs, and Megan Green also knocked in two runs for the Huskies.

Peyton Lenz struck out 11 to earn the win.

Bonneville 5, Blackfoot 4

Blackfoot scored three runs in the top of the seventh to take the lead, but the Bees responded with four runs in the bottom of the inning for the win.

Mckynlie Cook hit a two-run single for the game winner.

Alyvia Rudd finished 2 for 3 with two RBI for the Bees (6-3, 1-0) in the conference opener for both teams.

Gracie Longhurst struck out 14 for the win.

Traylee Reid had a double and two RBIs, and also struck out 11 in the circle for Blackfoot (7-4, 0-1).

Highland 15, Hillcrest 5

The Rams scored seven runs in the first and McKenna Sutton (3.0 innings, eight strikeouts) and Dawson Sommers (2.0 shutout innings) made it stand up.

Emery Walls homered for Highland (8-3).

Mya Weatherly homered for Hillcrest (7-4).

Skyline 14, Madison 2

Mikayela Lopez struck out seven and gave up just one earned run for the win.

Lopez also knocked in three runs for Skyline (10-2).

Crissy Smith and Brinlee Dorman each had RBIs for Madison (1-8).

Marsing 15, Salmon 5

Marsing took a 6-0 lead after one inning and then put the game away with a nine-run fourth.

Abby Jackson and Baylee Halle each doubled for Salmon (4-3).

North Fremont 5, Buhl 2

Peyton Lenz struck out eight for the win.

London Mardsen, Oakley Hathaway and Makya Cherrey each had two hits for the Huskies (6-0).

Cole Valley Christian 19, South Fremont 4

The Chargers plated 12 runs in the first and finished with 19 hits in four innings.

Izzy Wynn doubled for the Cougars (5-8).

American Falls 8, Firth 4

The Beavers scored five runs in the second, which held up despite being outhit by Firth.

Mckenzie Mendez finished 2 for 4 with three RBIs and picked up the win with seven strikeouts for American Falls (6-5).

Reese Clayson, Madelyn Erickson and Erica Fielding each finished with RBIs for Firth (4-9).
