EASTERN IDAHO — As spring sports reach their playoff seasons, the 8th District rodeo and Idaho Falls Spud Kings offer a short break from baseball and softball.

Despite winning their series opener, the Spud Kings were eliminated two wins shy of repeating as NCDC Dineen Cup champions. Meanwhile, some of the best high school rodeo athletes returned to the Bannock County Event Center to test their skills.

Here are some of our favorite photos from last week’s action.

Don’t forget to visit our public Facebook group, East Idaho News – Sports, to vote for your favorite — here. The winner, selected Wednesday at noon, will be our group’s header photo for the following week.
