East Idaho’s top wrestlers earn All-American honors at Fargo

FARGO – Thousands of the top wrestlers in the country converged on Fargo this past week at the U.S. Marine Corps Junior and 16U Nationals, with area wrestlers earning several All-American honors.
Team Idaho collected 13 All-American honors, with American Falls’ Kinzie Williams collecting more All-American accolades.
Williams has been a force this past year, winning a state title and then advancing to the Fargo championship match at 115 and finishing runner-up.
It was the first Fargo All-American honor for the senior-to-be, who won the 115-pound state title and finished the high school season unbeaten at 38-0. She also earned All-American honors earlier this year at the USA Wrestling Women’s Nationals, finishing sixth in the Under-23, 53 kg. competition.
Madison’s Brand’n Edstrom earnd his second All-American honor after placing sixth in Junior Freestyle at 120 pounds.
Edstrom, a high school state champion for the Bobcats, also earn Fargo All-American last year in the 16U division.
Bonneville’s Scout Scott placed third in the 16U Greco-Roman 126 bracket.
After helping lead Malad to a high school state title in the winter, Drake Morrison earned his second All-American honor after placing sixth in the Greco-Roman 165 competition.
Blackfoot state champion Keanna Conrad finished seventh at 140 pounds to earn Junior All-American honors.
