Marsh Valley hosts new conference foe Aberdeen

ARIMO — The Marsh Valley Eagles are still in search of their first win of the season as they enter conference play.
That search continues Friday night when the Eagles (0-3, 0-0) host the Aberdeen Tigers (1-2, 0-0), who are looking to right their own ship following back-to-back one-score losses.
Kick off in the East Idaho Sports District 5 Game of the Week is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Marsh Valley High School.
Aberdeen lost to Declo (3-0) in overtime at home last week, 29-22. The week prior, the Tigers dropped a grinder of a game, 7-6, to rival American Falls.
Now, a Tigers team that played in the state semifinal a year ago looks to get back into the win column against the newest member of the 3A South East Idaho Conference.
The Eagles, who dropped from the 4A division to 3A this year, lost a Week 0 showdown with former conference rival Bear Lake (3-0, 0-0) by a field goal, 32-29. They lost 19-14 last week at North Fremont (1-2, 0-0).
In two of three losses, Marsh Valley has been a play or two away from victory.
The Eagles’ search for win No. 1 starts with a search for those one or two plays, and continues Friday night.
