Snake River and Teton boys; Bear Lake, Soda Springs and Challis girls, bring home team trophies

The 3A and 4A Golf State Championship Tournaments concluded Tuesday, with area teams earning some hardware.
Here’s a recap of both tournaments.
4A at Clear Lake Country Club in Buhl
Boys
Snake River earned a second-place team trophy, shooting 654, with Kimberly taking the title with a score of 639.
Teton was fourth, Sugar-Salem tied for sixth with Timberlake, and American Falls finished eighth.
Individually, it was a strong tournament for area golfers as Teton’s Bjorn Lindquist finished second at 151 behind Wyatt Williams of Kimberly, who shot 68 in the opening round and finished even at 144.
Snake River’s Crew Albertson and Boeden Burke finished fourth and fifth, and Brogan Katseanes tied for eighth to lead the Panthers’ trophy charge.
Gavin Gehmlich was Sugar-Salem’s top finisher with a score of 167 to tie for 11th.
Girls
The Bear Lake girls finished third, with Teton coming in fifth place.
The Bears’ Addison Slivinski placed sixth with a score of 177 and BrynLee Birch and Claudia Johnson finished 13th and 14th, respectively.
Teton’s top finisher was Berklie Moss, who tied for 18th with score of 219.
3A at River’s Edge Golf Course in Burley
Boys
Ririe’s Kody Landon shot a consistent 79 and 78 to finish sixth at 157 over the two day tournament.
West Side’s Jarrett Anger was 13th and Challis’s top finisher was Bodie Morley who shot 176 to tie for 23rd.
Declo won the boys team title with a score of 678. Ririe finished ninth in the team standings at 728, with West Side 10th with 734 and Butte County 13th with a score of 787.
Girls
Jayden Parker of Soda Springs fired a 162 to place second, with Bindi Frost of Challis placing fourth and Lauren Robson of Ririe finishing sixth. Tara Vedder of Soda Springs tied for eighth.
Soda Springs also finished second in the team race with a score of 784. Challis was fourth, with Ririe coming in sixth place.
Ambrose handily won the team title with 755 strokes.
