All-Conference honors for North Fremont after an historic season and program’s first state trophy

EASTERN IDAHO – The North Fremont softball team earned its first state trophy this season, finishing third at the 3A tournament, and added a second straight district title to it resume.

The Huskies added more honors with the release of the Nuclear Conference awards as Peyton Lenz was named Player of the Year, Grace Heiner was tabbed Offensive Player of the Year, and Ericka Robertson was named Coach of the Year.

Rounding out the individual awards, Payton Grebstad of Firth was selected Defensive Player of the Year.

Lenz hit .511 with 31 RBIs to go with 13 doubles, five triples and five home runs.

She was also the team’s main pitcher in all 26 games and struck out 193 batters in 157.2 innings.
