State Media Poll: Madison out of top-5 rankings after a loss, West Jefferson in after 4-1 start

EASTERN IDAHO — Rigby in 6A and West Side in 3A each held on to their No. 1 spots in this week’s state media football poll.

Madison, which suffered its first loss of the season last week, dropped out of the 6A top-5 poll and Boise (5-0) moved into the No. 5 slot.

In 5A, Skyline dropped a spot to No. 4 after a nonconference loss to Thunder Ridge, while unbeaten Hillcrest held at No. 2 behind Bishop Kelly.

Blackfoot and Bonneville each received votes in 5A.

West Side continued at No. 1 in 3A, with West Jefferson (4-1) moving into the poll at No. 4.

Hagerman, which beat Butte County last week, moved up to No. 1 in 2A. The Pirates received votes.

Rockland, at 4-0, stayed at No. 5 in the 1A poll. All five ranked teams in the 1A poll are unbeaten on the season.
