POCATELLO — The Idaho State University track and field team earned several impressive finishes at last week’s Utah Spring Classic, at Utah University.

Bengals Elliotte Stockham and Brielle Davis finished first and second, respectively, in the women’s pole vault — clearing a height of 3.95 meters. Ekhardt Van Der Watt finished second in the men’s pole vault, clearing a height of 4.95 meters.

Megan Moore, in shot put, and Katelyn Dickemore, in javeline, each finished third — Moore with a throw of 13.74 meters, and Dickemore with a throw of 43.68 meters.

Allie Lemons finished third in the 5,000-meter race, with a personal-best time of 18:42.87.

The women’s 4×400 relay team finished second, with a time of 3:52.49. The trio of Gracee Alders, Kaila Medeiros and Morgan Graham was anchored by Anise Becker.

Becker was successful in claiming a first-place finish in her solo race as well, setting a personal-best time of 1:00.24 in the 400-meter hurdles. The time is 4th-fastest in university history, according to Idaho State Athletics. Hayli Worthington holds the ISU outdoor record for the event, with a time of 0:58.60 set in 2015.

Jay Wadley joined Becker in moving up the program all-time list, with a first place-claiming shot put throw of 17.41 meters (57′-1.5″). That distance puts him in seventh all-time in the ISU record books. John Danielson holds the program record for outdoor shot put, with a distance of 61′-7.75″ (2007).

The Bengals will be in Azusa, Calif. for the Bryan Clay Invitational this week. They will return to Pocatello, for the Bengal Invitational, on May 2 and 3, to end the regular season.
