EASTERN IDAHO — A busy week of sports in eastern Idaho saw the Idaho State Bengals win their first-ever softball conference tournament championship, numerous local athletes qualify for the state track and field meet, and tennis players qualify for that state tournament. Four baseball teams earned a bid in this weekend’s state tournament, while 11 softball teams did the same.
State tournaments will be this weekend, primarily in the Boise area, with some baseball in Idaho Falls and Twin Falls, and softball up north.
