ST. ANTHONY – Day one of the annual Fremont County Pioneer Days Rodeo was full of patriotism and cowboy action.
The Friday night event was held at the Fremont County Fairgrounds in St. Anthony. It’s one of multiple events happening as part of the city’s annual Pioneer Days celebration. It began with a tribute to Stephen Wayne Peebles, of Sugar City, who was killed in a crash last October. He was driving a potato truck and hit a power pole, Madison County Sheriff Ron Ball told EastIdahoNews.com at the time.
The rodeo is a two-day event and is one of multiple activities happening as part of the city’s annual Pioneer Day celebration. Saturday’s festivities began with a 5K Fun Run, baked food sale and car show. A parade will start at 10 a.m.
The final night of the rodeo is happening Saturday night. Mutton Bustin’ and calf riding will kick off the evening at 6 p.m. The regular rodeo begins at 7 p.m.
