Sugar-Salem’s Frank Fillmore accounts for three TDs in conference-clinching win

EASTERN IDAHO – With the Sugar-Salem defense holding South Fremont in check most of the night, Diggers’ quarterback Frank Fillmore just needed to be efficient in Friday’s Mountain Rivers Conference matchup.
He did just that, finishing 10 of 13 for 160 yards and two touchdowns. He also led the team in rushing with 32 yards and a touchdown.
The senior has passed for eight touchdowns and leads the team with eight rushing scores as the Diggers improved to 7-1 and take a seven-game win streak into the postseason.
Friday’s win over South Fremont was arguably the biggest win of the season for Sugar-Salem. Not only did the Diggers win their sixth straight conference title, it sets them up for potentially a favorable playoff draw that includes a bye and home game.
