TWIN FALLS — Idaho State Police are investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash that occurred on U.S. Highway 93 at milepost 21, just north of Rogerson.

The crash happened at about 6:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 26, according to an ISP news release.

Troopers say a 2010 Ford Escape, driven by a 50-year-old male from Twin Falls, was traveling northbound on US-93. A 2007 Honda Accord, driven by a 22-year-old male from Pocatello and carrying a 38-year-old male passenger from American Falls, was traveling southbound on US-93. The Ford crossed the center line into the southbound lane and made head-on contact with the Honda.

The driver of the Honda succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The driver of the Ford was transported to a local hospital by air ambulance, and his passenger was transported to a local hospital by ambulance.

Everyone involved was wearing seatbelts.

Both northbound and southbound lanes were blocked for approximately four hours. Idaho State Police was assisted by Air St. Luke’s, Magic Valley Paramedics, Twin Falls Sheriff’s Office, Twin Falls Coroner’s Office, Idaho Transportation Department, and Salmon Tract Fire Department.
