TWIN FALLS — Justin Anderson followed his victory at last October’s 6A state golf championship with a masterful performance at the Idaho Uswing Mojing Junior World Qualifier.
The Thunder Ridge High School junior won the event, finishing the two-round event with a total score of 146 (+2).

Thirty-six high school golfers from across the state completed the event held at Twin Falls’ Canyon Springs Golf Course, through what Anderson’s father, Jeff Anderson, described as “windy, ugly conditions.”
Anderson was the only golfer to post a round score under par, with a round-one 71 (-1) followed by a 75 (+3) in round two. Eagle High School senior Beau Sahr finished the tournament in second place, with a two-day score of 148 (+4).
As the top two finishers from Idaho, Anderson and Sahr will represent the state at the Uswing Mojing Junior World Championships, at Torrey Pines Golf Course, in San Diego. The three-round tournament will be played July 8-10.
