IDAHO FALLS — With a handful of returning starters, the Idaho Falls Tigers will again look for playoff positioning in a conference that has been traditionally strong with perennial state title contender Skyline and the re-emergence of Hillcrest. Blackfoot looks for a bounce-back season as does Bonneville and Shelley, all three of which have new head coaches.

What does that mean for Idaho Falls High School?

The main storyline could be the emergence of quarterback Bradley Elison, who was named second-team all-conference last year as a junior.

“He has strength and speed,” coach Marty Duffin said, noting the offense should also be bolstered by a solid offensive line despite losing experienced seniors. Landon Hatch and Morgan Anderson return, as does Stockton Kump.

Look for tight end Easton Watkins to contribute.

Defensively, linebacker Cooper Moss and defensive back DJ Neider earned All-Conference honors.

Duffin said younger players are going to have to step up to fill some key positions, but the pieces should be there to make a playoff push.
