IDAHO FALLS — Emergency crews have spent over five hours searching for a man who fell into the Snake River near the Broadway Bridge in Idaho Falls.

The Idaho Falls Police Department, Idaho Falls Fire Department and Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office have been on the scene since around 2:30 p.m. The dive team and other water rescue resources are assisting with the search.

This is the second time in recent months that a man has fallen into the Snake River. In June, John Green, a 54-year-old visiting Idaho Falls from Louisiana, was walking with a co-worker and looking at the falls near the rocks when he fell into the river. His body has never been found.
