USGS Monitors Flood Levels

(POCATELLO) – Scientists with the U.S. Geological Survey spent much of yesterday monitoring flood levels on the Portneuf River. At it’s highest point, the river was just three inches short of reaching flood stage. Local News 8 reports that flood levels will remain low if temperatures gradually rise, but could pose problems if southeast Idaho gets a heat wave in the next few weeks.
