(IDAHO FALLS) – Some area schools are doing their part to combat childhood obesity. Local News 8 reports that schools in District 93 are improving lunch menus by using whole grains and reducing the amount of fried foods. It’s all part of the Healthy, Hunger Free Act that was signed into law by President Obama last December. The district hopes to have all new guidelines fully implemented by the start of the 2012 school year.
