Possible Utility Bill Increase

(IDAHO FALLS) – Rocky Mountain Power is looking to raise utility rates for its customers. The Standard Journal reports that the company is trying to cope with higher demands for electricity and tougher environmental policies. About 71,000 southeast Idaho customers would see rates raise about 15 percent on average. That’s a little over 19 cents per day for each household. The Idaho Public Utilities Commission is taking the request under consideration and has not yet approved or denied the request.
