(AMERICAN FALLS) – An American Falls High School football player is in stable condition after collapsing on the field Tuesday during practice. KPVI reports that 17-year-old Ross Palmer’s heart stopped during a cool-down routine. Coaches quickly stepped in, performed CPR and restarted his heart with a defibrillator. Palmer, who suffers from a heart-growth problem, is scheduled for surgery today at a hospital in Salt Lake City.
