Firefighters Wear Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness

(POCATELLO) – Pocatello’s firefighters usually don their blue uniforms when they respond to calls, but this month they’re wearing something a little different. KPVI reports that crews are wearing pink shirts in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It’s the second year the department has worn pink and they hope to do it in years to come. Crews are also sponsoring the annual Brake for Breakfast at the Portneuf Medical Center this Wednesday in an effort to educate locals about the importance of cancer screenings.
