(IDAHO FALLS) – New details have been released regarding a police shootout in Idaho Falls Friday. 31-year-old Daniel Scott Parker could face up to 40 years in prison after firing an assault rifle at police during a high-speed chase through Idaho Falls Friday night. Authorities say officers returned fire and Parker was later hospitalized at EIRMC where he is listed in fair condition with a favorable outlook. Police were called when Parker’s family reported he was threatening suicide, which led to chase. Parker’s bond has been set at $1 million.
