(NEW YORK) — Jimmy Fallon has made cameos on Saturday Night Live since leaving its cast in 2004, but this weekend will mark the first time he’s hosted the popular NBC program. He says he’s “nervous and excited” about the opportunity because his rise to fame began on SNL.
Fallon, who now hosts a late-night show on NBC, says the final SNL episode that airs before Christmas is always special for the cast. He explains, “Everyone’s in a good mood, the audience is great ’cause a lot of people are tourists, they went shopping, they’re smiling.”
Fallon will be joined on SNL this weekend by musical guest Michael Buble.
