No Withheld Judgment for Sexting Teacher

(IDAHO FALLS) – A 7th District Judge has denied a request to withhold judgment in a case involving a former Hillcrest High School teacher accused of sexting with a 16-year-old girl. 42-year-old Gerald “Tom” Williams was sentenced to 75 days in jail and 10 years of probation, but will now be allowed to participate in a work detail in jail to help him pay off his fines. Williams was charged with sexual battery of a minor after the sexually-explicit text messages were discovered by the victim’s mother in August.
