(HOUSTON) — The Houston Astros and right-handed pitcher Livan Hernandez have agreed to a minor-league contract with an invite to spring training.
The 36-year-old Hernandez pitched for the Washington Nationals last season, going 8-13 with a 4.47 ERA in 29 starts.
The two-time All-Star is a former World Series MVP who helped the Florida Marlins win a championship in 1997.
