Five ISAF Troops Killed in Separate Afghan Attacks
Published at(KABUL, Afghanistan) — Five service members of NATO’s International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) were killed in southern Afghanistan Friday in two separate attacks, NATO said in a statement.
Four troops died in an improvised explosive device, or IED, attack, while another was killed during an insurgent attack.
The nationalities of the soldiers have not yet been made available. Per policy, the ISAF defers identification to national authorities.
