Messier/NHLI via Getty Images(NEW YORK) — The Ottawa Senators will have four players in this year’s NHL All-Star game when they host it January 29th. Defenseman Erik Karlsson and forwards Daniel Alfredsson, Milan Michalek, and Jason Spezza, were all voted in by the fans.

“It’s great, obviously, to see all four of us getting in,” Alfredsson said. “You look at Jason, Erik, and Milan, too, they’ve had great starts to the season. If we would have had to choose one player, it would have been tough because they’ve all played great to start the season. To be able to all get in when it is in Ottawa, it’s going to be a special occasion for all of us and something we’ll cherish forever, I’m sure.”

From November 14th thru January 4th, about 24 million votes were cast in the all-digital balloting. The rest of the players will be chosen later this month. They will then be placed on one of two teams via a fantasy draft that takes place All-Star weekend.
