Former ‘Home Improvement’ Child Actor Arrested for DUI
(LOS ANGELES) -- The actor who played the youngest son on Tim Allen's 1990s sitcom Home Improvement was arrested on suspicion of DUI Wednesday morning in Los Angeles County. According to TMZ.com, police investigated 27-year-old Taran Noah Smith, a.k.a. Home Improvement's Mark Taylor, after his car was found parked at an angle in front of a fire hydrant. An officer also detected a "strong" marijuana odor emanating from the car.
Smith was subsequently arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of marijuana. Police reportedly found hashish, a more potent form of marijuana, in his car.
Smith has not acted on TV since 1999, the year Home Improvement went off the air.
