Man Pleads Not Guilty to Murder Charges

(IDAHO FALLS) – The main suspect in the fatal stabbing of Buck Garner on Christmas Day has pleaded not guilty. Joseph Manuel Chavez faces a sentence of 10 years to life in prison, along with a weapons enhancement charge that could tack on an additional 15 years. Chavez is one of seven people facing varying degrees of charges related to the murder. A pretrial conference has been scheduled for April 23.
