He tied for third two weeks ago in Abu Dhabi, finishing with a poor final round, but Woods says he is happy with where he is at right now.

“I feel very at peace where I am at, I had to make some changes, that took time,” said Woods at Pebble Beach.  “I’m starting to see the results of that.  The last four events I really played well, I’m just building on that.”

Woods had an opportunity to close out Robert Rock in Abu Dhabi but instead let the win slip away.

He has gone 26 tournaments dating to November 2009 without winning an official event, but he does admit age is catching up with him.

“I don’t recover quite as well.  I know that I’m sore quite often when I’m playing with my kids,” said Woods on Tuesday.  “I do get sore.”

Woods will play with Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo in the pro-am format that requires each team to play at Pebble Beach over the first three rounds.

“He’s been calling me quite a bit, sending me video of his golf swing, ‘What can I do, what can I do,’ ” Woods said. “He’s competitive and he’s been grinding hard. It’s been cool to see.”
