Johnson Agrees To Contract Extension With Bills
Published at(ORCHARD PARK, N.Y.) — Wide receiver Steve Johnson on Monday agreed to a five-year contract extension with the Buffalo Bills worth $36.25 million.
The Bills drafted Johnson in the seventh round of the 2008 NFL draft. The 25-year-old had a breakout campaign in 2010 with 82 receptions, 1,073 receiving yards and ten touchdowns.
“Me being here right now, signing a contract says a lot about them, the organization,” Johnson said at a news conference Monday. “I want to make sure I make them look good.”
In 2011, Johnson had 76 receptions for 1,004 yards and seven touchdowns. He played in all 16 games, despite fighting through a handful of injuries.
