(MEMPHIS, Tenn.) — The Memphis Grizzlies signed free agent guard Gilbert Arenas on Tuesday. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The three-time All-Star has not played since last season, when he suited up for the Magic. Orlando used its amnesty clause to waive Arenas in December.
The 30-year-old Arenas was originally drafted out of Arizona with the second pick in the second round of the 2001 NBA Draft by the Golden State Warriors.
During his nine-year career, Arenas has averaged 21.2 points and 5.4 assists per game. Injuries to his knees in recent years have taken a toll on his production.
