(WASHINGTON) — President Obama has once again picked North Carolina as the team to beat in this year’s NCAA men’s basketball tournament.
Obama, who correctly picked the Tar Heels to win the 2009 championship, has UNC beating Kentucky in this year’s title game. Ohio State and Missouri are Obama’s other Final Four selections.
“I am going with North Carolina. They’re an older team, more experienced team. And since they won it for me the last time, hopefully I’ll be able to get a little redemption for the last two years,” Obama told ESPN’s Andy Katz.
The president has gone public with his bracket each year since coming into office. The past two seasons he incorrectly picked Kansas to win the title. “They broke my heart each year,” he said.
The president filled out his bracket Tuesday at the White House before heading to Ohio, where he attended a first-round game with British Prime Minister David Cameron.
