(NEW YORK) — The Indianapolis Colts informed former Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck that he will be selected as their No. 1 pick in next week’s NFL draft, according to league sources.
“We’ve known for a little while. We’ve done all our due diligence,” Colts general manager Ryan Grigson said during a 30-minute news conference. “Unless there’s an unforeseen problem or something like that, we know what we’re doing.”
There is still no word on when Luck was informed but a league source said the team has known for weeks that Luck would be its pick.
Luck will become the Colts first No.1 overall selection in 14 years.
