(NEW YORK) — If a new report is to be believed, Rihanna’s team at the management firm, Roc Nation, which is owned by Jay-Z, isn’t too happy that she’s been hanging out with Chris Brown. Rihanna, however, reportedly couldn’t care less.
According to the New York Post, Roc Nation advised Rihanna to stay away from Brown, but she has defied their orders, including putting Brown’s voice on the song “Birthday Cake.”
A source tells the newspaper a “rebellious” Rihanna “has warned her management team she won’t be kept apart” from Brown, who was convicted of assaulting her in 2009. The source says, “Her management banned her from reuniting with Chris, but she said she’ll do whatever the hell she wants to.”
The source says Roc Nation fears Rihanna will “secretly record an album with Brown, just to defy them.”
